Balance Gym Kalorama
Balance Gym Kalorama, located just north of Dupont Circle at 2200 California Street, NW in Washington, DC features a full-length basketball court ideal for recreational and competitive sports and a private training studio with a range of athletic and functional training equipment including medicine balls, sandbags, agility and acceleration ladders, gymnast rings, plyo-boxes, giant tractor tires, an Olympic lifting platform, and more.
The Facility
The Kalorama facility is located in the former gymnasium of Mackin Catholic High School, the home of college and NBA standouts Johnny Dawkins and Austin Carr, just to name a few. The facility includes a Training Studio and a newly renovated full-length basketball court – ideal for basketball and volleyball.
The Training Studio
The Training Studio is fully stocked with functional and athletic training equipment including medicine balls, thera bands, jump ropes, free weights, kettleballs, sandbags, kegs, weighted vests, agility and acceleration ladders, plyo-boxes, hurdles, gymnast rings, a climbing rope, TRX equipment, a FreeMotion cable column, treadmills, and an Olympic lifting platform with a full range of plates in both kilos and pounds.
The Court
Our newly renovated high school regulation basketball court is unmatched in the city. We renovate the court every two years and maintain it daily. It can be used for full-length basketball games, volleyball games, futsal, and for training.
